eduroam stands for "education roaming". It is an international roaming service for supporting research and educational community in both national and international levels. eduroam provides the secure internet connectivity to users of the participated organisations across the globe. Users traveling with their mobile devices can just use their personal credentials to log into the eduroam wireless access-point of the visited organisations and obtain the internet connection.
eduroam is based on a federated authentication model where username and password are validated at thee home institution (identity provider) and the access network services are controlled by the visited institution (service provider).
